Why did you choose Wave House Athletic Club?
I originally chose Wave House Athletic Club because of the pool.  I wanted to start competing in triathlons and the facility was conveniently located to our house so I could bring my kids to the pool as well.

I stayed here because I realized that Wave House had other workout options to offer other than the pool. I started taking spin classes after about a year and I really enjoyed them. After that, I branched off into the other classes such as yoga, hardcore and the swim workouts. Wave House is also a great location; you can't beat being on the beach to work out.

Fitness Goals:
I started working out to quit smoking when I was 35. I gave myself until I was 40 to be in what I thought would be the best shape I could be in. I started doing triathlons. First with sprint distance triathlons, then progressed up to Ironman. I then realized I had short changed myself with my goals.

I had been spinning at the club for a couple of years because I wanted to improve my cycling, but I thought, "What better way to hold myself accountable for my workouts than by becoming certified to teach Spin myself?" I took the certification course and asked Nicole if she had any openings to teach the class. She was gracious enough to let me sub whenever someone needed it. Knowing that I have to be capable of putting on a good hour workout keeps me motivated to push myself in all my workouts. I love to watch people from beginners to seasoned athletes get a good workout and push through their personal boundaries.

Favorite Wave House Athletic Club Experience:
I Love the member appreciation parties, especially when I won an hour session on the Flowrider. I love the fact that I can go to a place and everyone knows me by name. It's my home away from home.
