Do you ever dread waking up in the morning, only to force yourself to the gym, get on the elliptical, speak to no one, stay for 45 min and leave?!?! How NOT fun is that? Why can’t exercise be made social, a place where you can meet people and have FUN?
Well, at WHAC, it can! Working out with your peers is a great way to make new friends,
stay motivated and even add a little healthy competition into the mix! I had a great workout yesterday with fellow coworkers. We were pulling each other with bands, having plank hand slapping contest (I lost, and you can ask my coworkers, I do not like to lose), leap frog races, and much more. People were laughing, falling, sweating and moving without realizing it. I forgot that I was actually there to exercise! Doesn’t this sound a whole lot better than forcing yourself into an elliptical trance for 45 min?
