Spotlight Members and Instructors

Eden

What brought you to the Wave House?
I won a 9 month membership at the beginning of the school year at USD's Alcala Bazaar. I was new to San Diego and hadn't even heard of Wave House yet but was excited to check it out and was so thrilled to have won once I found out what it was.

Cindi

Cindi started getting serious about fitness when she set her wedding date! Cindi is getting married in July and wanted to learn the proper way to exercise to get the best results.

“Since starting working out regularly I feel more motivated and less tired. It has also helped me be less groggy in the morning”. Cindi finds the best part about coming to the gym is training with Mollie, who keeps her pushing and reaching her goals! Cindi’s future fitness goal is to do a proper push up!

Chris

Chris first stepped through the door when he heard about a cool gym on the beach. "I live in Mission Beach and I like to swim but the ocean is just a bit too cold for me. Having an Olympic sized swimming pool next door is a big plus!" Since joining the Wave House Athletic Club, Chris went from working out 1-2 days a week to 5! "My energy levels have dramatically improved which has really helped me in my work. I'm now doing better than I ever have business wise. Being in better shape also means more fun adventures.

Judi W.

Judi has been an active member since 2010. She joined Wave House for its convenience...she lives on the boardwalk so she cruises over on her bike whenever she wants to take a dip in the pool! Although she loves swimming on her own, she's recently received a little extra motivation from her trainer, Gio. "Gio has motivated me to have fitness goals, I am committed to swimming three times a week!" To keep up with Gio, Judi tries to eat well and get plenty of rest. Besides swimming, Judi likes to participate in yoga, read, ride her bike, and enjoy retirement!

Member: Owen M.

Owen came to the Wave House Athletic Club looking for an extra push, something to keep him motivated when he wasn't busy with school; he has definitely found that here. Owen has committed to his fitness by training 3 days a week with Personal Trainer, Katie. "I needed the motivation of a trainer who is close to my home and could train in the middle of the day. And I knew I would get the best results by going three days a week so, I made the commitment to myself."

Member: Emma G.

Emma joined the Wave House 2 years ago when it was mentioned to her by her friend Tony. She began sampling all of the different classes the Wave House had to offer and found an instructor she loved!
